Here is an email template that you can use to help introduce Films on Demand (FOD) to staff. Feel free to copy/paste and modify as you see fit.

Dear [insert titles]

I am excited to introduce you to our new subscription to Infobase's Films On Demand, which was purchased to help enhance instruction and extend student learning across our schools!

Films On Demand Master Academic Collection is a comprehensive, instruction-focused streaming video subscription that offers every student and academic department on campus unlimited access to the most essential videos for their field of study. Includes exceptional content from the world’s top producers, such as PBS, BBC, A&E, National Geographic, and HBO®. All Films On Demand collections include unlimited views, a full statistical suite, and tools to create clips, share playlists and build in-video assessments.

[Insert your access information here.]

You are able to set up a personal account, as well as set up accounts for students.

Set up your personal account: Here is a helpful article on how to create your own account and another on the benefits of your own login. To connect to your LMS, simply search for your LMS name via the Help Center for a how-to.

This personal will allow you to save content and curate your Films On Demand (FOD) experience.

Help students set up individual accounts as well. This will allow students to save content and searches of their own.

Integrate FOD into your syllabus and structure lectures to strengthen learning.

  • Extend independent student research
  • Connect to current real world examples
  • Deepen expertise and share perspectives

For more implementation ideas and professional learning toolkits, visit the Training Resources in the FOD Help Center. Check out this handout for more information.

Best,
